When I store a URL it saves it as a webarchive and remembers the original URL, so I have the choice of instantly viewing the page as it was (with active links) or going back to the original source (e.g. The search function works well for retrieving data. The files are stored on disk in their original format in the obvious organization. You are not locked into a proprietary database. No big deal I just open it at the start of the day and leave it open! Seems like it would be trivial to offer an option, and I did suggest it to the developers, but no luck so far. You may wonder if you really need a program like EagleFiler.
Why not just use Finder? That was certainly how I felt at first, but I'm glad I tried it. I can't fully put my finger on why, but some reasons are: I personally find it much easier to keep my data managed using EagleFiler.
